Melissa Kohler is the co-owner of Beacon Consulting, LLC, bringing over 35 years of experience in the long-term care industry. For more than two decades, she has specialized in long-term and post-acute care, where she is deeply committed to delivering high-quality, resident-centered outcomes.

Throughout her career, Melissa has held a variety of leadership roles, including MDS Coordinator, Regional Clinical Director, Regional MDS Consultant, and Senior Corporate Director of RAI. These positions have shaped her extensive expertise in staff development and engagement, revenue recovery, PDPM optimization, clinical reimbursement, and person-centered care planning.

Melissa has played a key role in developing and implementing RAI compliance processes and guidelines across multiple organizations, helping facilities strengthen both clinical and financial performance.

Outside of her professional work, Melissa is a proud grandmother of six grandsons and a true Michigander at heart. In her free time, she enjoys heading up north and spending time on the water exploring Michigan’s lakes.
