Melissa Kohler is the co-owner of Beacon Consulting, LLC, and has been in the healthcare field for over thirty-one years. She found her passion in long-term care and has been dedicated to providing quality care in the long-term post-acute care setting for over twenty years. Melissa has a plethora of experience and knowledge afforded to her from the various positions she has held including, MDS Coordinator, Regional Clinical Director, Regional MDS Consultant, and Senior Corporate Director of RAI. Melissa’s areas of expertise include: staff development and engagement, revenue recovery, PDPM utilization, clinical reimbursement, and resident-centered care planning. She has played an integral role in helping to develop the processes and guidelines for RAI compliance for multiple facilities. Melissa is a proud grandma of six grandsons and a true Michigander at heart. In her free time, you can find her up north in her boat exploring the lake.
